I am 32 years old, and I have been in the tech industry for about 10 years. I have had pictures taken before, graduation/engagement/wedding, but never anything like this. Being in tech it is easy to try to fade into the background but have been challenging myself to get outside of my comfort zone.
Several years ago, my husband and I started to try to have children and unfortunately it was not in the cards for us. Infertility can shatter your self confidence/ self worth. We needed a change and moved to Washington and I decided to really push myself and try new things. I got a personal trainer and started going to the gym a ton. Then I wanted to mix things up, and I tried an Intro to Pole class (much harder than you think and it leads to a lot of bruises) and ended up falling in love with aerial hammock. Not only did I get stronger and leaner, I started to see myself in a new light. Then I saw a post from Ayla and thought it would be worth a conversation and I am so glad that I did! Ayla made sure I had any and all of my questions answered and gave me tons of ideas and support as we led up to my shoot. That didn’t mean that I wasn’t nervous, I was slightly terrified. I had never done something like this before but it was also really exciting. It was also a lot of fun to go shopping for options, trying something new and feeling special.
As soon as I arrived I was put at ease, everyone made sure I was comfortable and Ayla helped me narrow down from the WAY too many options that I brought. While I got my hair and makeup done I was able to relax some and let them be in control. When they were done I couldn’t believe how great I looked! The most awkward part was the first time I walked out for the first shoot, I knew what to expect but it was still weird. As soon as we started taking pictures, Rob kept me laughing and I forgot about feeling awkward. Ayla was patient in showing me the poses and making sure I had fun throughout the process. I am also REALLY glad that I stretched every day the week leading up to it, it was a great workout. Then I saw the pictures….my first thought was WOW! I can’t remember ever feeling that sexy or beautiful. I just couldn’t believe it. It felt AMAZING!!! Then I had to narrow down pictures….that was an almost impossible task, I am so glad that I was able to get digital copies of all of them. I walked out of the shoot feeling so much more comfortable and confident in my own skin. I am sexy, powerful, and confident. I can take on the world. Thank you Ayla and team!!!
Just do it! This will be one of the best experiences of your life, I promise! I had put myself into a box that I felt like I had to fit into, and this completely broke me out of it. It’s been over a month since my first boudoir photo shoot and I still feel that empowerment from that day, and can’t wait to do it again!! I ordered pretty much everything that I could, and when I picked them up I couldn’t believe how much time and energy Ayla and the team took in making even the packaging special. My album, acrylic print, frame, and even the USB drive were all wrapped making the experience feel special. I opened them all with my husband and his jaw dropped and he was speechless. He has always called me beautiful but I think he now can see me in another light as well. I can not say enough great things about Ayla and her team, they take care of every single detail and make sure that you are comfortable the entire time. You will walk out of the experience feeling like a brand new woman with so much confidence and swagger.
