Ms. W Says Celebrate Yourself In Our Tacoma, Was Boudoir Studio

How Did We Do?
I had the absolute best experience from start to finish! I felt welcomed, and the chit chat helped me relax and lose some nerves. The shoot its self was fun and yall were too funny I had the best time. I was in the moment and loved the images so much.

About You
Hi, I’m Whitley, a 35-year-old who has rediscovered her confidence and sense of self. Originally from Virginia, I’ve lived in California and now call Washington home. Life hasn’t always been easy—I’ve faced a divorce, a loss of confidence, and moments of self-doubt. But through it all, I found my inner peace and learned to embrace who I truly am.

By day, I’m a director and advocate for underrepresented minorities and cultural diversity, driven by a passion for creating space where everyone feels seen and valued. By night, I’m a woman who believes in celebrating life’s beauty and strength—even when it’s messy. This shoot represents a moment in time where I’ve stopped hiding and started fully embracing myself.

Leading Up To Your Shoot
I’ve wanted to do a boudoir shoot for years, but I always found excuses to put it off. I wasn’t at my “ideal” weight, or I told myself it wasn’t the right time. But this year, I decided to stop waiting for perfection and honor where I am right now.

I wanted this shoot to capture this powerful time in my life—a moment where I feel proud of everything I’ve been through and who I’ve become. I didn’t want to let fear or doubt hold me back anymore. So, I took the leap, nervous but determined to celebrate myself unapologetically.

Your Shoot
On the day of the shoot, I felt an incredible mix of nerves and excitement. From the moment I sat in the chair for hair and makeup, I felt beautiful. The team was incredible—they made me feel completely at ease, guiding me through every pose and keeping the atmosphere light and fun with their jokes.

The nerves quickly faded, and I found myself truly enjoying the process. I felt so connected with myself, confident in a way I hadn’t felt in years. It was an empowering and freeing experience that reminded me of my strength and beauty.

The Nitty-Gritty
One of the most rewarding parts of the experience was getting to see and choose my photos right after the session. The images were stunning—the warmth, the lighting, the way everything came together felt magical. I ended up purchasing an album because I wanted to hold onto this moment forever.

The editing was minimal but perfect—just enough to enhance the natural beauty of the shots. Even in my most vulnerable moments—completely naked—I felt completely comfortable and safe.

I would encourage everyone to do a boudoir shoot at least once in their life. It’s such a transformative experience—a reminder of how uniquely beautiful we all are and how much we deserve to feel good in our own skin. Don’t wait for the “perfect” time or the “perfect” weight. Celebrate yourself exactly as you are right now.
