Tell us about you, anything you want to share. How old are you? What do you do for a living? Etc.
Hi! My name is Amy, I am a 33-year-old mom of 2 fiery girls. I live south of Seattle and make a living working in Human Resources, managing commercial fishing vessels. In my free time, I am usually, doing mom chores, having a dance party with my girls, mixing my essential oils, and rebalancing my chakras.
Tell us about everything that lead up to your session. This could be a story about your past that you want to share. Also, things like; What made you decide to do a boudoir session? Did you have any fears about boudoir photography going into your session?
I had stumbled across some boudoir shots online and always thought that it would be a good experience but didn’t really give it too much thought at the time. I took note of the beautiful albums of finished products. A year ago I finally was freed from a toxic marriage. I had spent the year relearning who I was, working hard to manage working long hours and being the best mother to my girls, navigating healing our family from the last few rough years. Through the process I finally wanted to be true to myself and what I wanted. I finally allowed myself to start the process of coming out as a bisexual. I met a beautiful girl and felt an instant connection. Not long after we met, she received orders to be relocated to the Army base in Fairbanks Alaska. We decided to continue to date and promised to have the best summer, making the most of the sun and good PNW weather. I wasn’t sure what our relationship would turn into but I knew I wanted to give her a gift that would remind her of the beautiful relationship we shared. I knew that no matter where she was, I wanted to be a part of each other’s lives. Her birthday was just a couple weeks before her move date. So I decided to give her a gift of a boudoir album for her birthday and going away gift. She made me feel like the most beautiful girl in the world. I had never really felt so comfortable and safe with another human. I was nervous to get completely out of my comfort zone but am so happy I decided to just do it. To me this shoot meant a lot. I was a able to celebrate myself, which as a mother of two who rarely gets to fill my own cup was a huge milestone. I celebrated my survival of a toxic relationship, my past year of going through a lot of growing pains. I also got to really allow myself to be comfortable with my sexuality and who I am. In all of that I was able to give a gift of myself to a woman I ended up falling so deeply for. It was as much of a gift to myself and it was a gift for her.

Tell us about your session! Was the session different from what you expected it to be? What was the best part of your session? What were you feeling and thinking when you first saw your photographs? What did doing this shoot do for your self confidence, self worth, and self image? Tell me your story.
After scheduling my shoot with Ayla, I felt excited and nervous. I did a lot of research, I started buying outfits and preparing. It was about what I expected. What I didn’t expect was the major boost of confidence the shoot gave me. I was nervous at first, but after the first few poses I started to feel excitement and all the nerves went away. Rob and Ayla were so fun and easy to work with. The shoot went a lot faster than I expected and with every outfit change I felt myself being more and more comfortable. After the shoot and the 45 minute editing, I was excited and nervous for the viewing. I was absolutely blown away with my images. I felt so sexy and beautiful and was feeling the “high” for sure. It was hard to narrow down the shots, all of them surpassed my expectations. I almost couldn’t believe that my body was that beautiful. I couldn’t wait to get my final products! It was an amazing feeling that has lasted way beyond my visit to the studio.
The nitty-gritty! Any advice you would give to other women when thinking about their boudoir session? What products did you order and what did you think about them when you received them? How did you like working with Ayla and the team?
I would say just do it! Don’t wait to be a certain size or for this or that. All of it is so worth it! It’s an incredible feeling. I ordered the Warrior package. I received 24 images, an album, acrylic block and a wall poster. I kept the digital images and gave my girlfriend the other products. She loves them all and has really enjoyed her gift. Working with Ayla, Rob and Amanda was easy and comfortable. Rob and Ayla bring good chemistry to the shoot. They are a great pair to work with.
If you were going to write a review for us, what would you say?
Absolutely recommend! In every level Ayla and team was an absolute joy to work with.
