I’m 29, married to an amazing man, and have 2 girls with another one on the way. I am a drug counselor and and a full time student as well.
Tell us about everything that lead up to your session. This could be a story about your past that you want to share. Also things like: What made you decide to do a boudoir session? Did you have any fears about boudoir photography going into your session?
I spent a lot of time hating myself. When I was 16 I started hanging out on the dark side, and fell into addiction. I lost custody of my oldest daughter, who was adopted by my dad, and when that happened I lost myself. It took me years to pull out of it, and I destroyed a lot of my life. I have 7 and a half years clean now, and I’ve done so much work to become the woman I am today. I’m a home owner, a college graduate, and now working on a Bachelors, I got a second chance to be a mom, i found myself a husband, and most importantly i am a woman that I love. I decided to do the boudoir session because I felt looking at photos of other women that they were so beautiful and empowered. Instantly went on my bucket list! Pictures say a thousand words, and boudoir shows a million words. I had to do it.
Tell us about your session! Was the session different from what you expected it to be? What was the best part about your session? What were you feeling and/or thinking when you first say your photographs? Did your session change the way you saw yourself and your beauty? Etc.
From the first moment I met Ayla I felt completely comfortable. I honestly didn’t even get nervous until right when I was about to walk in, and as soon I saw her my nerves were gone. She makes you feel comfortable and loved. She sees the empowered and strong woman in you, even if you don’t see it in yourself. I loved every part of my session. Seeing my photos absolutely blew me away. I definitely think it changed my outlook on myself.
The nitty-gritty! Any advice you would give to other women when thinking about their own boudoir session? What products did your order and what did you think about them when you received them? How did you like working with Ayla?
My advice? Don’t stress!!! Find an outfit that makes you comfortable, and most importantly just take the leap! Ayla will be there every step of the way to help. She’s amazing!
