Ms. K is one of those clients that we long to work with. A woman who has been through so much in her life and who has worked hard to overcome it all. A woman who just needs a little help getting further on her road to self love. We are so blessed to get to work with women like this. Please read her story, its one that brought tears to my eyes. She is the epitome of a Warrior Woman. – Ayla
P.S. We worked with Ms. K on our yearly trip to St. Louis!
Tell us about you, anything you want to share. How old are you? What do you do for a living? Etc.
Hello! My name is Kristen and I’m 25 years old! I live in St. Louis and am currently a server in the industry.

Tell us about everything that lead up to your session. This could be a story about your past that you want to share. Also, things like; What made you decide to do a boudoir session? Did you have any fears about boudoir photography going into your session?
This may be a little TMI, but my past entails a lot of sexual abuse. It broke me down to the point where I didn’t want any inch of skin showing on my body, I didn’t want anyone to compliment me, or “check me out” because it made me uncomfortable, and I had little to no confidence. It took me down a path of hard core drug usage for years and caused a lot of issues in my life. I’m coming up on five years clean in April, but I just decided last year that I didn’t want to be tied down by the burdens of sexual abuse anymore. I knew I needed to do something about it; I just didn’t know what. Within just a few days after realizing I needed to make some changes, an advertisement came across my newsfeed of Ayla doing a model call! I applied, not thinking she would want to work with me, but she did! We set up our date for the shoot, and once I realized it was set in stone, full-blown fear filled my body. I was truly scared and very unsure up until the moment she started coaching me on poses. Never in my life did I ever think I would have the courage to be so exposed, in front of people I’ve never met

Tell us about your session! Was the session different from what you expected it to be? What was the best part of your session? What were you feeling and thinking when you first saw your photographs? What did doing this shoot do for your self confidence, self worth, and self image? Tell me your story.
It was truly exhilarating to over come the fear I had! They were all so genuine and bring a sense of 100% comfort with them! It wasn’t scary in the least and I had so much fun!! It was the very thing I needed to change the way I see myself, and also change the way I receive compliments from others

The nitty-gritty! Any advice you would give to other women when thinking about their boudoir session? What products did you order and what did you think about them when you received them? How did you like working with Ayla and the team?
FREAKING DO IT! Don’t be afraid, you’re going to end up having so much fun! I’ve done so many various photo shoots since then and I love the way I feel about myself today

If you were going to write a review for us, what would you say?
I would suggest Ayla and her team above all others! For someone like me being in the position I was in, even my closest friends and family couldn’t believe I went through with it. I, without a doubt, wouldn’t have been able to follow through had it been with any other team. Truly changed the way I view myself! I am no longer afraid to be beautiful!
