“It’s all about a feeling of confidence, empowerment, self love and respect”
When I think about this session this is the quote that comes to mind. I am not sure who wrote it, or where it came from. I simply found it one day when I was scrolling through social media. This is what I want every session with me to be about. It’s about the women in-front of my camera. The way she sees herself when she walks into the studio and the way that is changed before she walks out. I want every women to walk out standing taller, loving themselves even more than they already do, feeling like they can take on the world. When someone is in front of my camera I want them to be able to relax, let loose, be fun, silly, sexy and in the end express themselves as they truly are.
This women was able to do just that. We started with our amazing hair and makeup artist Jessica who went to work enhancing all of her amazing features. As she got dolled up we got to chat for a while and really relax. This time is great for us to get to know each other so the session just flows. Then in the session we were able to bring out a bit of her fun side. She would show us her beautiful laugh and stick her tongue out to be silly. Every one of these actions allowed me to document who she really is and what she is really like. I love when that personality shines in an image.
I am so glad this women trusted our Boudoir photography team and was able to come down from Seattle, WA to allow us to photographer her. It’s sessions like these that remind me why I love boudoir so much. It’s women coming in nervous and leaving with a glow of self love that makes my job worth every moment.
