Tell us about you, anything you want to share. How old are you? What do you do for a living? Etc.
I am 28 and I work in the hospitality industry. I am a mother to one who I just adore more than anything in this world.
Tell us about everything that lead up to your session. This could be a story about your past that you want to share. Also, things like; What made you decide to do a boudoir session? Did you have any fears about boudoir photography going into your session?
I was always intrigued with the thought of boudoir photography. I never thought I would do it myself until one day I was with friends of mine at a wedding show and was basically convinced to do it! Not convinced in a bad way, i just thought to myself, why not?! I bet it will be a lot of fun and a great gift for my fiancé. I realized it was nothing to be ashamed of. We all want to look good for ourselves and for our partners. Some people decide to keep that private and that’s okay but again women shouldn’t feel ashamed in their own skin! I was super nervous before the shoot just because the team were strangers to me but at the end of the day, they are brilliant professionals.

Tell us about your session! Was the session different from what you expected it to be? What was the best part of your session? What were you feeling and thinking when you first saw your photographs? What did doing this shoot do for your self-confidence, self-worth, and self-image? Tell me your story.
The shoot was so different than what I thought. it was super fun the moment I walked in the door. I never had my makeup done before so that in itself was a treat! When I had to come out of the changing room I was so shy and nervous but then Ayla was like ” okay, do this and this and this.” and again, I was laughing hard and I honestly didn’t want to go! I could have done that all day! I was shocked when I saw my photos and I was HOOKED. After having a baby I knew my body changed and I felt bad about it but after seeing the photos it made me feel so good!
The nitty-gritty! Any advice you would give to other women when thinking about their boudoir session? What products did you order and what did you think about them when you received them? How did you like working with Ayla and the team?
My advice would be for anyone who is anyone to do this! Whether you are a woman or a man, single or in a relationship. This experience is so much fun and it really is empowering how these images make you feel! Ayla, Rob, and Amanda are a great team and they are amazing people. I felt sad getting my stuff because I knew that would be the last time I saw them for a little while. They really make you feel like friends you have known for a while. They are sweet and kind people. I will hopefully do a couple’s shoot in the future!
