I’m Samantha and I’m a full time mom, wife, manager of an auto shop and constantly busy! I live in Puyallup and am a typical PNW resident, I love the rain and outdoors.
Tell us about everything that lead up to your session. This could be a story about your past that you want to share. Also, things like; What made you decide to do a boudoir session? Did you have any fears about boudoir photography going into your session?
After having my daughter I was struggling with embracing my new body and all the changes it’s gone through physically. I decided that I wanted to get my confidence back and appreciate my body for all it had done! I looked at Ayla and Robs pictures and I knew that this was a couple with amazing talent and ability to flatter all figures and everyone looked so comfortable! I won’t lie, I worried that I wouldn’t look good, that I wouldn’t be comfortable or that I wouldn’t like the pictures. All normal fears.
Tell us about your session! Was the session different from what you expected it to be? What was the best part of your session? What were you feeling and thinking when you first saw your photographs? What did doing this shoot do for your self confidence, self worth, and self image? Tell me your story.
My session was so fun! I felt comfortable with my body instantly. Amanda made me look stunning and complimented me and joked around a lot. Rob was hilarious and so nice. Ayla is probably the sweetest human ever. I felt comfortable and sexy and like I was just killing it the whole time. When I saw my photos I was blown away, how could that girl have confidence issues?? I literally text my husband “damn.. you’re lucky” haha. I felt so amazing the whole day and even went out to dinner all glammed up. I can’t even name a beat part of the session because the whole thing was amazing.
The nitty-gritty! Any advice you would give to other women when thinking about their boudoir session? What products did you order and what did you think about them when you received them? How did you like working with Ayla and the team?
I had a budget I had to strictly stick to so I found an image I loved and if I didn’t love an image as much as the other, then I passed on it but that was just me. I got an album which has my husbands name on it (which he adored, he was so happy it was clearly just for him) I also have 2 metal curved prints which are gorgeous and a view finder for something fun :). I got the products really quickly and the quality is unbelievable! My advice would be to for sure eat and stretch before because the poses take a lot of stretching and some contorting. She has a closet but buy some lingerie that you love. For my fellow curvy ladies Shein or pink cherry are awesome. Ayla and the entire team are incredible and working with them was the best decision ever.
If you were going to write a review for us, what would you say?
Ayla and her team are so professional but also so friendly and comforting. They make you feel comfortable in your own skin no matter your size. Their closet selection is gorgeous and you have access to those pieces which is a really nice perk. The hair and makeup with Amanda feels like a spa day with a best friend. Prepare to love your images and most of all, yourself. Thank you so much for not only a fun day but incredible images I’ll cherish forever!
