I am 41 almost 42 . I have 3 biological children and 3 step kids but we don’t recognize the step in our house we are just mom and dad. I also have 2 granddaughters that brighten my life. I started working as a dialysis tech almost 8 years ago. I love what I do and the fact that I literally save lives every day with what I do. I am the youngest child of 8 but the only one my parents had together.
I was scrolling through instagram one day and ran across this post about entering to win a boudoir session. I then proceeded to instagram stalk and Facebook stalk the company first to see if they were legit then to see all the beautiful images. I have always wanted to do a boudoir shoot ever since I babysat for this couple and she had a picture in their bedroom. I have never been body confident even when I was super skinny so doing one was way outside my comfort zone. I couldn’t believe when I got the email telling me that I won the shoot. I was excited and scared at the same time but thought it would be a awesome first anniversary present for my husband. My biggest fear would be my body as after 3 kids I don’t like how I look.
Oh man the whole session was awesome from the start!! Being in hair and make up made me feel special. I had never had my hair and makeup done before at least not by a professional. I loved the look she came up with and it really fit me well I think. As far as the shoot itself I was nervous and felt a bit awkward but I think before too long I was comfortable and really tried to embrace the experience. When I first saw my photos I was floored. It was hard narrowing down my images especially for my digitals. There were some that couldn’t believe were me. I felt so confident after and have even displayed a couple in my living room. Doing it made me want to do it again and push myself even further outside my comfort zone.
Embrace the experience.! It’s a wonderful time and you’ll be glad you did it. You’re fierce and beautiful so rock it. Working with the team I was wonderful they are all so inviting and warm and helpful. I got an album, metal print, and digital images because I thought why not the more beauty to look at.
This team is awesome! They really care about making you feel your best and making you feel beautiful. From beginning to end the experience was something I will never forget and I will recommend anyone and everyone to do this.
