Ms. G – Love At First Sight! Tacoma, WA Boudior Studio

Tell us about you.
I am 40 years old, mother to two boys, and own a part-time house cleaning business.

Tell us about everything that lead up to your session.
I have wanted to do a boudoir session for myself for years. On a whim, I plunged ahead after receiving marketing from a different photographer. The experience was disappointing and the photos taken, dismal. Two free photos were included in the promotion and I declined to purchase any additional. To be honest, I don’t even like looking at the two free photos because the experience has such a negative effect on my self-confidence. To combat the negative effects proceeding the session, I knew I needed a do-over. I found Ayla’s website and her portfolio and fell in love. I called immediately and booked an appointment.

Tell us about your session!
After my horrid experience with the last photographer, Ayla gave me my mojo back. Even before I saw my photos at the reveal I was flying high. Heck, even without photos, its worth doing. Absolutely liberating, engaging, fun and lots of well-timed laughter.

The nitty-gritty! Any advice you would give to other women when thinking about their boudoir session?
Take the time to look for outfits. I procrastinate. I love my photos but wished I had spent more time looking for a particular item. That ironically I found AFTER. Stretch. Let go and have fun. Bodies, ALL of them, are beautiful. Allow Ayla and her team to show you that.

If you were going to write a review for us, what would you say?
TLDR; you NEED to schedule a shoot, even if you are nervous about how you will look. Especially if you are nervous about how you will look!
Before I found Ayla I had an awful experience with a boudior photographer that rocked my self confidence. I knew it was the photographer, not me, but I couldn’t silence the ugly little voice in my head that said otherwise.
A week before my shoot with Ayla I was starting to chicken out. The only reason I didn’t cancel, was as a business owner myself, I know how crappy it is to cancel on someone last minute.
So instead, I emailed my concerns to her. She responded promptly, with empathy, compassion and addressed every one of my concerns, including changing her shooting schedule so she would be the one photographing me.
This time my self-confidence was rocked in a GOOD way. The entire shoot, from hair and make-up to Rob and Shibari, to the back cramps from posing (🤣) and the reveal was fun, light-hearted, and a perfect example of how a skilled photographer can showcase anyone in a beautiful way. Ayla and Team showed me a path back to my inner mojo. They made it easy..
Me, and my husband, haha, are grateful for the work they put in and the outstanding service they provide.
If you are still “thinking” about scheduling a shoot. DO IT.
